Research / Standards

Research standards and public accountability.

BLACK& Research is designed to make sources, method, authorship, limitations, conflicts and revisions visible to the reader.

Evidence quality

Primary sources are preferred for factual claims. Secondary analysis is attributed, and material uncertainty remains visible to the reader.

Method and fact-checking

Every analytical publication should define its question, scope, terms, method, exclusions and material limitations. Factual claims are checked against retained sources before release.

Authorship and review

A named author remains responsible for the final text. A reviewer checks logic, evidence and disclosure. Professional biographies explain relevant competence without anonymous expertise claims.

Use of AI

AI may assist discovery, organization, translation, comparison or drafting. It cannot be cited as evidence and does not remove the need for source verification, human judgment or accountable approval.

Corrections and updates

Material corrections are dated and described. Method changes create a new version. Retractions remain visible with an explanation unless legal or security duties require restriction.

Conflicts and independence

Relevant financial, operating or ownership relationships are disclosed. Research concerning a BLACK& company identifies that relationship directly.
