Shared advantage
The portfolio is designed as a system rather than a collection of isolated businesses. Companies can draw on common intelligence, technology architecture, governance and operating experience while retaining a clear purpose and market focus.
How a portfolio relationship is defined
A portfolio relationship describes the approved role of a company, platform or initiative within the BLACK& operating model. It does not automatically establish separate incorporation, ownership percentage, consolidation, commercial availability or an investment offer.
Public status vocabulary
Every portfolio profile publishes a controlled status label so readers and automated systems do not infer commercial maturity, legal identity or launch status from a name alone.
- Product in development — an identified product under active development
- Internal technology platform — shared capability used within the BLACK& operating model
- Research initiative — a defined research or validation programme, not a launched product
- Venture formation capability — company-building capability rather than a confirmed investment product
- Planned launch — an intended future release, subject to validation and change
- Private operating company — used only after the relevant legal and operating status is publicly confirmed
Operating review
Portfolio work is reviewed against a defined thesis, named user, operating milestone, responsible owner, evidence quality, risk and next decision. A status changes only when the underlying evidence and publication approval change.
Evidence boundary
A portfolio listing confirms a public relationship to the BLACK& company-building agenda. It does not by itself confirm a separate legal entity, ownership percentage, revenue, customers, regulated authorization or commercial launch. Each profile states what is confirmed and what remains pending legal or operational verification.
